Birth Doula Assistance:

• 2 prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you with useful tools for labor, birth, and the fourth trimester
  
• Prenatal support through phone contact and e-mail
• On-call two weeks before & two weeks after your due date
• Continuous support during labor and birth; 1-2 hours of support immediately following birth to help with breastfeeding and postpartum comfort
• 1 postpartum visit 1-2 weeks after birth to discuss your experience, evaluate my role as your doula, and celebrate your baby’s birth.  Written birth story included.

Postpartum Doula Assistance:

No two families' postpartum needs are exactly alike, and therefore shifts vary from client to client.  I can work up to twelve weeks in the home if needed.  As a postpartum doula, I help with tasks such as:

• Preparation for baby’s arrival
• Immediate postpartum support (in hospital) if desired
• Role adjustment
• Breastfeeding/bottlefeeding education
  
• Older sibling support
• Basic baby care 
• Referrals to professionals and support groups
• Development of coping skills
• Screening for mood disorders
• Light household organization

Fees for Doula Services

Fees for birth doula services range from $700-800.  I ask for a non-refundable deposit of half of the full payment (applied towards the total fee) as soon as you have chosen me as your doula.  The balance is due at the postpartum visit. 

The fee for postpartum support is $25/hour.  A weekly statement will be given for services.  Payment is requested at that time.

Support a friend and give the gift of a doula!  Gift certificates for postpartum help are available for purchase.
