Here's to good women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them."  Mom and Me, circa 1988 Today, I turn 25. I was lucky enough to spend my special day celebrating with my mother. We shopped around town, spilling the latest news in our lives and picking out fun things for the wedding (Only 59 more days to go!). The more that I grow, the more I realize my mom is the best friend that I have ever had.
My sweet, intelligent mama, I am so happy to be your daughter and your first born. I look forward to the day when I hold my first born in my arms, full of the same joy and wonder you felt as you first embraced me. Unsure of what's to come, but knowing it will be okay because we've got each other. Thank you for supporting me through the good times and bad. I am so grateful to have spent another birthday with you. If I become half the woman you are, that would mean a whole lot.
